MRPMA

The Malaysian Rubber Products Manufacturers’ Association (MRPMA) represents Malaysia’s rubber product manufacturers across a wide range of industrial and consumer sectors, serving both domestic and international markets.

The Association brings together companies throughout the rubber product supply chain to collectively drive industry growth, innovation, and sustainability.

Established in 1952 as the Rubber Goods Manufacturers Association, it was renamed the Malaysian Rubber Products Manufacturers’ Association (MRPMA) in 1977. Over the decades, MRPMA has played a vital role in the development of Malaysia’s rubber manufacturing sector — evolving from the production of basic components such as O-rings to advanced, high-value products used in medical, technical, and industrial applications.

MRPMA Mission

To facilitate cooperation and protect the interest of rubber products manufacturers.

To assist and advice the government in creating relevant policies.

To facilitate the development of a technologically advanced and competitive rubber industrial sector.

To collaborate with other similar associations in achieving a common objective.

To encourage new and sophisticated manufacturing processes in order to improve quality and productivity.

MRPMA Objective

Encourage more rubber industry players to join the Association
To help the SMEs improve on their competitiveness in the global market through support from government’s strategy and policies
To help the rubber industry to transform and strengthen through IR4.0
Talent development (upskill and reskill) – collaborating with universities and Human Resource Development centers
Organise professional rubber industry conferences and knowledge exchange programs
Organise trade missions, participation in oversea exhibitions to promote Malaysia rubber products
Collaboration with local and overseas’ chambers of commerce and associations for knowledge and experience sharing

Committee Members (2026 - 2029)

The Committee comprises a President, two Vice-Presidents, five elected Committee Members, five Co-Opted Committee Members, and two Observers. Committee members serve a three-year term (2026–2029), commencing from the date of their most recent election. This term was extended from two years to three years with effect from 22 September 2021.
