MRPMA was established in 1952 as The Rubber Goods Manufacturers Association. In 1977, the name was changed to Malaysian Rubber Products Manufacturers’ Association. MRPMA represents the manufacturers of rubber products in Malaysia.

MRPMA Mission
To facilitate cooperation and protect the interest of rubber products manufacturers.
To assist and advice the government in creating relevant policies.
To facilitate the development of a technologically advanced and competitive rubber industrial sector.
To collaborate with other similar associations in achieving a common objective.
To encourage new and sophisticated manufacturing processes in order to improve quality and productivity.
MRPMA Objective
- Encourage more rubber industry players to join the Association
- To help the SMEs improve on their competitiveness in the global market through support from government’s strategy and policies
- To help the rubber industry to transform and strengthen through IR4.0
- Talent development (upskill and reskill) – collaborating with universities and Human Resource Development centers
- Organise professional rubber industry conferences and knowledge exchange programs
- Organise trade missions, participation in oversea exhibitions to promote Malaysia rubber products
- Collaboration with local and overseas’ chambers of commerce and associations for knowledge and experience sharing
