The Malaysia Energy Efficiency and Solar Thermal Application Project (MAEESTA) is a national initiative supported by the Government of Malaysia, funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). This 5 year project which is being executed by SIRIM Berhad focusses on improving thermal energy efficiency in industrial heating and cooling processes, process optimization and the utilization of solar thermal energy.

The objective of the seminar is to create awareness on energy efficiency and on the benefits of solar thermal technology application among industries, service providers, consultants, equipment or component suppliers, financial institution/buildings and government stakeholders. The seminar was held on the 29th March, 2018 at The Saujana Hotel.
